Interface Zero: Pattern of Entropy
Ravenlocke is a large security firm that serves the North American market. Headquartered in Chicago, they have offices throughout the Great Lakes Union and NAC. The only market their influence is small in is Atlantica, where the martial law and local competition has kept their presence minimal.
Pattern Solutions has mostly interacted with Ravenlocke through James Hoffmann, a client team lead who was responsible for the FabWorks security Pattern replaced. Hoffmann admitted to double-dealing on FabWorks, and then took the heat when Ravenlocke’s parent company lost out on the opportunity to acquire FabWorks. Ever the opportunist, Hoffmann took his firing from the company as the opportunity to deliver some stolen information to his new employer, Pinkerton, on a silver platter…with the Pattern team running interference. Hoffmann is still feeding information to the Pattern team, though it’s not clear whether this is out of a sense of obligation or because he considers them useful.
Ravenlocke as a whole is less enchanted with the Pattern team. Between extracting Hoffmann, extracting the hacker Herbie, delivering Ravenlocke’s stolen information to both a competitor and the Catholic Church, and shooting a few of them, it’s not an exaggeration that the PCs are high on Ravenlocke’s “shit-list”. What makes this worse is the rumor that ACC tough Bradbury has been seen meeting with them.
